3-star QB Kasen Weisman decommits from Kansas
Douglasville (Ga.) South Paulding three-star quarterback Kasen Weisman has announced his decommitment from Kansas. This decision comes after he took an official visit to Colorado.
Weisman is the No. 1,221 overall prospect and No. 68 quarterback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 118 player in Georgia.
“First off I want to thank God for putting me in this position and giving me all the opportunities He has blessed me with,” Weisman wrote in a statement published to social media. “This process has had its ups and downs for sure. Me and my family believe it’s best at this time if we take a step back and re-evaluate things. With that being said I will be de-committing from the University of Kansas. Coach Leipold, Coach Z, Coach K and the whole Jayhawk fanbase, I am forever grateful that you gave me an opportunity to chase my dreams. Wishing you guys and the university nothing but the best.”

“It was very very good,” Weisman said. “The coaching staff there is a lead. The school is absolutely beautiful and the education is top-tier.”
“Coach Prime is about to shock the world at Colorado,” he added. “I think it was a good move on his part if you are a recruit he knows what it takes to make it and a lot of the guys on the staff do too.”
Weisman has an On3 NIL Valuation of $46K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
