NDSU defensive line transfer Javier Derritt commits to Kansas
North Dakota State defensive lineman Javier Derritt has committed to Kansas out of the NCAA transfer portal, he announced on his Twitter account on Thursday.
Derritt has been at NDSU for five years now, emerging as a quality playmaker on the interior of the defensive line.
As a senior in 2023, he racked up 31 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks. Those pass rush numbers were actually down somewhat from what he had shown in the past.
In his career, Derritt has logged 90 tackles, 16.0 tackles for a loss and 11.0 sacks.
Prior to enrolling at NDSU, Javier Derritt was an unranked prospect out of Lenexa (KS) St. Thomas Aquinas.
