Samuel L. Jackson hilariously calls out Hunter Dickinson for flopping
Tennessee fans aren’t the only ones fed up with Hunter Dickinson‘s antics — as Samuel L. Jackson has turned to social media to scold the Kansas star the only way he knows how.
“Damn, this Dickenson MF on @KUHoops flops like he’s on a Soccer Pitch!!!” Jackson tweeted.
Here’s one example of what Jackson was talking about:
Or this one from last night’s 73-59 loss to Marquette.
Despite his negative feedback from Jackson, Dickinson still averaged a staggering 20.3 points and 13 rebounds per game over three outings for the Jayhawks in Maui.
Of course, the Jayhawks defeated the Volunteers 69-60 in the Allstate Maui Invitational to earn third place in the tournament. Purdue and Marquette are set to face off for the tournament title at 5 p.m. ET live on ESPN.
Kansas defeats Tennessee 69-60
Kansas might not be No. 1 next week — but they proved they’re still one of the teams to beat during the early college basketball season.
Defeating No. 7 Tennessee 69-60 to secure a third-place finish in Maui, the Jayhawks handed the Vols their second loss in two days behind s 17-point, 20-rebound double-double from Dickinson. His teammates, KJ Adams and Kevin McCullar combined for 27 points as well.

Still, things weren’t guaranteed for Kansas after a back-and-forth first half sent the game to halftime knotted at 35.
“We did a great job there late but we just came away with nothing. We actually played hard,” Kansas coach Bill Self said of his team’s halftime performance. “I thought we had played pretty well, we’ve just got to quit making so many careless passes. … I don’t think it was the pressure. In our half-court offense, we just get sped up and try to make too many great passes or whatever. We just need to be a little more sound.”
The game continued this pace until the under eight-minute media timeout, where Kansas ripped a 9-2 run that lasted until the 1:29 minute mark when Santiago Vescovi nailed a three-point basket to cut the lead to eight — but any hope of a comeback had already been erased to that point as Self’s team took his advice and helped Kansas earn the victory.
After a hectic Thanksgiving week, the Jayhawks can lead back to Lawrence, enjoy some turkey and reset as they prepare for East Illinois on Tuesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET live on ESPN+.
