3-star CB RJ Lester commits to Kansas State
Fort Smith (Ark.) Northside cornerback RJ Lester committed to Kansas State on Thursday. He announced the news over social media.
The 6-foot-2, 185 pound defensive back is rated as a three-star recruit by On3. He is also listed as the No. 43 cornerback and No. 3 player in Arkansas.
The Wildcats’ 2023 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 41 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. Kansas State’s class is led by Maize (Kan.) four-star quarterback Avery Johnson, the No. 175 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus.
Lester is the Wildcats’ second cornerback pledge alongside Saint Louis (Mo.) St. Mary’s three-star cornerback Donovan McIntosh. Additionally, he is Kansas State’s second commitment in the last two days after Hillsboro (Mo.) linebacker Austin Romaine announced his decision last night.

Lester has an On3 NIL Valuation of $5.7K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
