Florida transfer Keyontae Johnson commits to Kansas State
Florida graduate transfer Keyontae Johnson has committed to Kansas State, he told On3.
“I chose Kansas State because the coaching staff wants their players to get better every day, on and off the court, and the fan base is one of the top in the country.”
The 6-foot-6 wing is fresh off a visit to Nebraska earlier in the week, as reported by On3’s Jamie Shaw. Kansas State and Western Kentucky both hosted Johnson in the month of July.

Memphis was also in the mix for Johnson.
Johnson has not played a game since December 12, 2020, when he collapsed during a game due to a heart issue. At that point, Johnson was projected as a first-round NBA Draft pick.
Keyontae Johnson’s last full season at Florida was 2019-20, where he averaged 14.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.2 steals. Through his four games in 2020-21, Johnson averaged 16.0 points and shot 64.1 percent from the field.
