Jordan Allen gives Kansas State visit high marks
Olathe (Kan.) South three-star EDGE Jordan Allen said he grew up a Kansas State fan. So, that’s why he was eagerly looking forward this his visit to Manhattan this past weekend.
And Allen, who is the No. 7 player in the Sunflower State, said the Wildcats hit a home run with his trip.
“First thing, the facilities there are great,” Allen, who is 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds, said. “I got to experience some traditions they hold over there. I got to build up a better relationship with the staff.”
Allen is being recruited at K-State primarily by Wildcat assistants Taylor Braet and Buddy Wyatt. Both have done a solid job of building an early bond with Allen.
Other visits set for Jordan Allen
But it’s still early in the recruiting process for Jordan Allen.
In fact, Allen has two more trips lined up. He’ll be in Columbia, Mo., this weekend to visit the Missouri Tigers. He’ll then be at Iowa State on March 25 to visit with the Cyclones.
It’s the Cyclones that are viewed as one of his top teams. Kansas City native and former four-star Rockhurst High School quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase is recruiting Allen for the Cyclones. He was the first to offer Allen a scholarship.
Iowa State and Kansas State are believed to be the top teams in his recruitment. Both the Cyclones and Wildcats are listed with a 37.3% chance of landing Allen, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Nebraska and Missouri are listed at 11.8%, while Kansas is listed at less than 1%.

In addition to K-State and Iowa State, Jordan Allen has early scholarship offers from New Mexico State, Kansas and South Dakota.
Along with his play on the field, Jordan Allen opened up eyes with his performance in the weight room. He trains with Joseph Potts at Top Speed and has been clocked as fast as 20.45 mph in testing.
That’s trucking for a 6-4, 240-pounder.
As a junior, Jordan Allen had 15 tackles for a loss and four sacks. He also racked up 56 total tackles for the Falcons.
Allen is ranked as the No. 699 player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The On3 Consensus also ranks him as the No. 59 EDGE in the country. On3 ranks Allen slightly higher than the industry average as the No. 51 EDGE in the country.
