With high school recruiting in the 2022 class largely finished, programs have turned their attentions to the junior college ranks to make late additions to their rosters. Kansas State did exactly that on Tuesday, landing Tyler (Texas) Junior College linebacker Gavin Forsha.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder chose the Wildcats over USC, Rutgers, Florida, Louisiana Tech and a handful of other programs.

Forsha made official visits to both the Wildcats and Trojans, but opted to commit to Kansas State between the two. He is the 27th addition to Kansas State’s 2022 class, which ranks No. 66 nationally in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.

He was also named to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football All-Small College Team after finishing fifth nationally last season with 11.5 sacks for the Apaches. Forsha will have three years of eligibility remaining, along with a redshirt season if necessary.
