Kansas State linebacker Daniel Green praises transfer lineman Jevon Banks, SEC experience
Kansas State linebacker Daniel Green had nothing but praise for former Mississippi State defensive lineman Jevon Banks at Big 12 Media Days.
Speaking with ESPN, Green stated his belief that Banks’ experience in the SEC will be huge for the Wildcats in 2023, and he’s extremely excited to see him rock some purple this season.
“I think it’s very crucial,” Green responded, asked about how crucial Banks’ SEC experience will be for Kansas State. “Because he’s an older guy too, so you know getting an older guy, a veteran in there that’s played a lot of football, it’s really a good thing. … It’s really exciting.

“That rooms really exciting. Really excited about the front-line right now.”
Moreover, it’s easy to see why Green and the rest of Kansas State is souped for the 6-foot-2, 300-pound defensive lineman to join the Wildcats. The native of Olive Branch, Mississippi showed out over his three years at Mississippi State, racking up 26 total tackles, four tackles for loss, and 0.5 sacks.
With Daniel Green and Jevon Banks playing big roles, Kansas State will hope to repeat as champions of the Big 12 next season. It’s going to be fascinating to watch how they perform after shocking the world last season, as they’ll now have a target on their back in 2023.
