Kansas State QB Ta'Quan Roberson plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal
Kansas State QB Ta’Quan Roberson plans to enter his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal per On3’s Pete Nakos.
Nakos reported this entry per Roberson’s representation at YM APAA Sports.
“Kansas State quarterback Ta’Quan Roberson plans to enter the transfer portal, his agents @noah_reisenfeld and @AeneasHawkins tell @On3sports,” Nakos tweeted on Monday.
This was Roberson’s sixth collegiate season after spending three, one of which he redshirted, at Penn State, two at UConn, and then this one at K-State.
In total, Roberson has appeared in 22 career games with 11 starts that all came while with the Huskies. In those outings, he has been 212-376 (56.4%) when passing for 2,188 yards, 13 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He has rushed 63 times too for 158 yards and three more scores.
Essentially all of that came as Connecticut’s QB1 in 2023 and he would have posted more in Storrs had he not suffered a season-ending injury with a torn ACL in his first appearance with them as their starter in 2022. As for Penn State and Kansas State, Roberson has been a reserve behind names like Sean Clifford, Will Levis, and Christian Veilleux in University Park and then Avery Johnson this year in Manhattan.

Roberson transferred to K-State as the No. 41 QB and No. 532 overall transfer. That’s per On3’s 2024 College Football Top Transfer Portal Players. Then, in four games this year with the Wildcats, Roberson was three-of-seven for 18 yards. He also posted a seven-yard rush.
Roberson, a Wayne, New Jersey native, played high school football at DePaul Catholic. He was the No. 306 overall recruit there as a four-star prospect back in the 2019 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as a Top-20 QB in the class and the No. 7 player out of his state.
Now, Roberson will be looking for a fourth program for what will be his seventh season of college football.
