3-star quarterback Adryan Lara commits to Kansas State on official visit
Goodyear (Ariz.) Desert Edge quarterback Adryan Lara has committed to Kansas State on his official visit there, he announced Sunday afternoon.
Lara is the No. 717 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 42 quarterback and the No. 9 prospect in Arizona.
“If I’ve learned one thing on this journey, it’s that God has a plan,” Lara wrote on Twitter. We may not know where it leads, but we need to have faith. With the support of my parents and coaches, I’ve never wavered from mine. And because of that, I have found a place to call home for the next 4-5 years where I will be surrounded by more family. I am blessed beyond measure and incredibly excited to announce that I have committed to further my education and play football in front of the best fans in college football….KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY!!!”

Alabama WR to transfer
The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder was committed to Washington State from September 2020 until last month, when the Cougars underwent a coaching change. He chose them over offers from Iowa State, Kansas and Oregon State.
Both Fresno State and Kansas State jumped into the mix, and he was expected to visit the Bulldogs this weekend. However, after receiving an offer from Kansas State earlier this week, he moved up his trip to Manhattan and canceled the Fresno State trip.
The Wildcats added former Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez through the transfer portal this offseason, but Adryan Lara is their only high school quarterback committed in the 2022 class.
