2025 RB Isaiah West decommits from Kentucky
Philadelphia St. Joseph’s three-star running back Isaiah West decommitted from Kentucky on Monday in a statement on social media.
“First I’d like to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play this game and the opportunity to continue to pursue my dreams,” West wrote. “I’d also like to thank the entire Kentucky staff for their belief and investment in me. With that being said, I am re-opening my recruitment.”
The 5-foot-11, 210-pound tailback initially committed to the Wildcats on March 1. He visited Ohio State over the weekend.

West is the nation’s No. 498 overall prospect, No. 36 running back and No. 17 recruit from Pennsylvania in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Carlos Locklyn has been leading the charge in this recruitment for Ohio State.
“To me they’re one of the best in college football,” West told On3 last week. “Thats one of the things for me I want to be part of. I want to play the best of the best at highest competition. I feel like I fit really good into their offense.
“I really like Coach Lock. I had a relationship with him at Oregon.”
