Kentucky to face off against LSU in Super Regional
This season was just the eighth NCAA Tournament bid for Kentucky in the program’s history. You could have to go back to 2017 to find the only Super Regional appearance. But another number can be added to the stadium, with the 2023 team writing itself in the history books.
A tough opponent and venue will be on the other side. LSU has been one of the best home teams in the country, with Kentucky traveling to the Box. Thankfully, it will not be too unfamiliar as a regular season SEC weekend series took place in Baton Rouge earlier in the year.
Two of the three wound up finishing in favor of LSU back in mid-April. That will have to change if Kentucky is going to make the College World Series for the first time ever.
