Kentucky cornerback Carrington Valentine shot down rumors he would transfer to in-state rival Louisville Wednesday. Valentine made it clear on his Twitter profile that he would not trade in Kentucky blue for Louisville red by posting a picture of him in his Wildcats uniform. It was in response to a Louisville fan posing the question of Valentine potentially making the move.

Valentine played 12 games this season and had 48 total tackles, 34 solo tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception and one fumble recovery. He has 118 total tackles for his career and three tackles for loss.

As a member of the Class of 2020, Valentine was a three-star prospect out of Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller according to the On3 Consensus. He was the No. 37 overall prospect in Ohio, the No. 89 cornerback prospect in the class and the No. 980 overall prospect in the class.

Kentucky takes on Iowa in the Music City Bowl Dec. 31.
