It’s no secret that Miami Christopher Columbus blue-chip twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer are going to be extremely sought after throughout the entirety of their respective recruitments. Nearly every major program under the sun is going to be chasing the elite prospects’ pledges.

As teams make their pitches for the sons of former Duke standout and NBA forward Carlos Boozer, one blue blood was able to wrangle the first official visit over the weekend. The twins were in Lexington to visit Kentucky — which figures to be a mainstay in the push for the pair.

Cameron Boozer is the No. 1 prospect in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The power forward is the top-ranked player in the class by three of those four companies. Cayden Boozer is the No. 15 prospect and No. 3 point guard in the cycle.

John Calipari and Co. offered the Boozers back in May and have been off to the races in making their presence known since. The pair has made it known that they are not committed to going to the same school as each other.

“Obviously it’s a great program all-time, always have great players and successful players in the NBA. It’s a good school that knows how to develop their players for the next level,” Cameron told KSR.

“It was great (receiving an offer). I’ve been watching Kentucky since I was young,” Cayden added. “They’re always in the tournament. Having a school like Kentucky offer me, a school that’s a winning program, it’s a great feeling for sure.”

Florida is expected to have the Boozers on campus for an OV in November. Duke, North Carolina and Michigan are others that hope to be prevalent. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), the Gators have the lead in both recruitments.

Cameron and Cayden Boozer Scouting Summaries

Cameron — “Cameron Boozer plays at one level, never too high or never too low. He plays with excellent balance in all parts of the game. The jump shot has a smooth release. He is an excellent defensive rebounder and a high-level outlet passer. He has strong hands when he gathers the ball. Does not mind getting physical and will play with and through contact. He has good straight-line athleticism and runs the floor very well. Has average burst in short space, but he understands angles and rotations on the defensive end very well. Never rushed. Good pace.”

Cayden — “Cayden Boozer is a strong-framed and aggressive point guard. At 6-foot-2, 6-foot-3 is a tough on-the-ball defender. He has quick feet at the point of attack and a strong IQ, understanding angles, and footwork. There is a toughness about Boozer. He is a good passer, plays well out of the pick and roll, his head is up, and has a great pace. He will need to continue to tighten the handle in traffic and continue to hone the reads, but that is natural growth. The jump shot is streaky; it is something he will need to continue developing to become a consistent threat. Boozer finishes well in the paint through contact.
