4-star offensive tackle Shamurad Umarov offered by Kentucky

Alpharetta (Ga.) Denmark junior offensive tackle Shamurad Umarov has been offered by Kentucky, he announced Saturday evening.
Umarov is the No. 351 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3’s own rankings are much higher on Umarov, though, pegging him as the country’s No. 127 prospect and No. 7 offensive tackle.
The 6-foot-6, 290-pounder has amassed offers from Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Miami, Florida, among others. Clemson also has shown interest but is yet to extend an offer.
“I know the history of them,” Umarov recently told On3’s Jeremy Johnson. “They’re a pretty good school. Their coaching is great. Their players most of the time go to the NFL and they have big names. It’s not too far from here, so any chance I get to up there, I’d love to any time this spring.”
Kentucky, meanwhile, is just entering the race with an offer.

North Carolina was one of Umarov’s first offers last year. He has been on the Chapel Hill campus before and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Umarov hopes to showcase the good experience he had the first time in Chapel Hill with his family.
“When I was there the first time, I was with my coach and everything was amazing,” Umarov said. “I want to get to know the staff even more because they were all super nice. I want my family to see how they do everything up there. Everything was great. The hospitality they have, I think my family will love it if I already love it. I want them to experience everything too.”
