KenPom predicts outcome of Kentucky's final three regular season games
Kentucky has just three games remaining in the regular season. Entering the final three games, the Wildcats sit in second place in SEC standings, trailing Auburn by one game. With a strong finish and a little bit of help, Kentucky could take over the top spot in SEC standings entering the conference tournament. KenPom has predicted the outcome of each of Kentucky’s final three games in the regular season, setting up an intriguing finish to the year.
KenPom’s predicts for Kentucky’s final three games
Saturday, Feb. 26 at Arkansas: Kentucky 76 – Arkansas 73 (60% win probability)
Tuesday, Mar. 1 vs. Ole Miss: Kentucky 79 – Ole Miss 62 (94% win probability)
Saturday, Mar. 5 at Florida: Kentucky 74 – Florida 68 (73% win probability)
Even with a 3-0 finish, Kentucky would need help to take the SEC
Kentucky is currently on a two-game winning streak, sitting with a 23-5 overall record including a 12-3 mark against SEC opponents. If Kentucky does go 3-0 in its final three regular season games, as KenPom predicts, the Wildcats would finish 26-5 overall and 15-3 against SEC opponents. Auburn, the team leading the SEC race, also has three games remaining. The Tigers hit the road for matchups against Tennessee and Mississippi State before ending the regular season at home against South Carolina.
But finishing the year 3-0 won’t be easy for Kentucky. With road trips remaining against Arkansas (currently ranked No. 18) and Florida, the Wildcats will need to play well down the stretch. Arkansas and Florida have both recently defeated Auburn.
KenPom expects a strong finish for Kentucky, but doing so will require the continued contributions from up and down the bench. Guards TyTy Washington and Sahvir Wheeler have been injured as of late, and the two might not be returning for the final stretch of the regular season.

“They may not be ready in two days,” said Kentucky head coach John Calipari following Wednesday’s game against LSU. “We may have the same team going down to Arkansas.
“They may be out another couple of games. I need them healthy by March.”
Washington is battling a lower leg injury that he suffered about a week ago. Wheeler is dealing with an injured right wrist. Kentucky has fared well without the two stars, picking up wins over Alabama and LSU. But with a lot at stake over the final stretch of the regular season, the Wildcats will need more contributions from all-around.
