Kentucky guards Lamont Butler, Jaxson Robinson and Kerr Kriisa are all out with injury for Wednesday’s game against Vanderbilt, according to the SEC availability report.

Kriisa has been out since December with a broken foot, while this will be the third straight missed game for Robinson and the second for Butler. Travis Perry earned his first career start over the weekend against Texas and finished with six points and three assists across 28 minutes.

It’s a big void left behind, as Robinson and Butler are second and third on the team in points per game with 13.3 and 12.5, respectively. Coach Mark Pope touched on the progress that both players are making during his weekly radio show on Monday.

“For Lamont, he’s actually moving pretty well,” Pope said. “He still hasn’t practiced with live play, but for him, it’s just a matter of how far along does he have to get where he could actually take a hit in the game? That’s the biggest question for him. That’s going to be a little bit of a guessing game. We’ll try and get him some live stuff in practice over the next week or so.”

Pope added that Robinson had still also not getting any work in after injuring his right wrist in practice more than a week ago. Following the game against Vanderbilt, the Wildcats will face No. 4 Alabama on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.

Kentucky is coming off of an 82-78 road loss against Texas on Saturday. The Wildcats were surely missing Robinson and Butler in that one, but Otega Oweh and Amari Williams stepped up to lead the offense with a combined 38 points.

UK enters the matchup against Vanderbilt with a record of 17-8 (6-6 SEC) and still in safe position in regard to make the NCAA Tournament. At least for one more game, however, it will be at a disadvantage without two of its top contributors.

Tipoff between the Wildcats and Commodores is set for 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday in Rupp Arena. Kentucky will hope for the best when it comes to the injury news of Robinson and Butler in the next few days.
