Will Levis reveals lowest point of 2021 season, bounce back
Kentucky quarterback Will Levis had an electric season for the Wildcats after transferring in from Penn State. Levis’ season had its fair share of memorable, highlight moments, but at SEC media day he reflected on the low moments and discussed what he learned from them.
“I think the lowest part of the season was after we just went on that three game losing stretch after starting 6-0, then losing three in a row. We were coming off of a huge high and then going into a little bit of a downward spiral, we needed to make sure that after each one of those loses that our mindset didn’t change and that we weren’t going to point fingers and that we were just going to continue trusting the process and working towards what our goals were that were still in play,” Levis said.
Levis and the Wildcats definitely continued to trust the process, as they went on to run the table and win the rest of their games last season. Their three week losing skid served as their only three loses of the season as they finished 10-3, their fourth 10 plus win season in school history.

“The Georgia, the Mississippi State, the Tennessee games, all of them I had certain parts of the games where I knew that I wasn’t playing to the level that I knew I could,” Levis said. “But the biggest thing is just learning from those mistakes, going to watch the games, talking through them with the coaches, and understanding that when I’m in those positions next time to make those plays, just trying to make sure that I do make them.” Levis said.
Levis is a flat out offensive weapon, as well as a student of the game who led the Wildcats to a second place finish in the SEC East only behind a national champion in Georgia. Many think Kentucky may have peaked last season, but if Levis can come back and somehow improve even more, you may see the Wildcats in conference championship contention.
