Kentucky junior forward Oscar Tshiebwe put out a notice for Wildcat nation on Sunday that he’s “open for business.” The National Player of the Year candidate announced his signing with The Familie agency, which represents athletes, artists, musicians and more. Tshiebwe will undoubtedly have a long list of NIL opportunities as he continues a strong season.

On Saturday, the 6-foot-9 forward posted 21 points on 13 shots, collected 14 rebounds, and dished out three assists in 35 minutes versus Alabama.

Tshiebwe transferred from West Virginia for this season and leads the 22-5 squad in points, rebounds, steals and blocks.

Tshiebwe is averaging 16.4 points and 15.2 rebounds this season, shooting 56.9 percent from the field. His ability to grab rebounds and provide rim protection have given him major momentum toward postseason awards. Last season, he played 19.9 minutes per game for the Mountaineers and posted 8.5 points per game.

Former Kentucky stars promote Oscar Tschiebwe for postseason award

Kentucky is going all out in its promotion of Oscar Tschiebwe for National Player of the Year, creating the #OscarWorthy movement with a play on the annual Oscar Awards, which recognize the best films of the year.

Even New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley and former NBA forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist held up “Oscar” signs to show their support for Oscar Tschiebwe’s postseason award campaign. The stars were in Kentucky during the NBA’s All-Star break.

Along with the images of each former Kentucky star holding the poster, Immanuel Quickley sent a video message to fans and the voters.

“Got my man Oscar Tschiebwe here,” Quickley said while holding the poster. “Should be National Player of the Year. Hardest worker, tremendous character. He’ll go out and get you 30 points and 30 rebounds. So we need Oscar for National Player of the Year, BBN.”
