Kentucky running back La'Vell Wright enters NCAA transfer portal
Kentucky running back La’Vell Wright has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos has learned. He spent the past three seasons with the Wildcats but missed the entire 2023 season due to injury.
Wright ends his career in Lexington with 48 carries for 238 yards. His lone touchdown came as a true freshman in the 2021 season. Because of the injury this past season, he should have three years of eligibility wherever he decides to transfer.
As a recruit, Wright was a three-star prospect out of North Hardin High School in Radcliff, Kentucky. He ranked as the No. 835 overall player and No. 59 running back in the 2021 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
