Wan'Dale Robinson makes huge announcement about football future

Kentucky learned on Wednesday that they would be without one of their top talents at receiver next season as Wan’Dale Robinson announced his future plans. The junior receiver announced via a video on Wednesday that he was declaring for the draft and would not be returning to Kentucky for another season.

“This past year has been unbelievable and one that I will cherish for the rest of my life,” began Robinson’s farewell video. “Thank you to Big Blue Nation for cheering on me and my teammates throughout this whole year and we can’t thank you enough for all the support that you gave us this year.
“To my teammates, we made countless memories this year and I can’t thank you enough for making me a part of this family from day one. And to my family, you’re the reason why I do this. I can’t thank you enough for the support and all the love that you’ve given me throughout this whole process.
“To this coaching staff, thank you for allowing me to come in and showcase what I envisioned myself doing throughout my whole college career.

“The relationships that I’ve made throughout this whole year was the greatest part about returning home. As much fun as it was this year in blue and white, I’m sad to say it was my last. I will be entering the 2022 NFL Draft.”
Robinson transferred to Kentucky from Nebraska for the 2021 season, and caught 104 passes for 1,334 yards and seven touchdowns as a Wildcat. Now, Wan’Dale Robinson prepares for the 2022 NFL season and his professional future.
“It is really hard to describe what he has meant to us,” Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops said after the Citrus Bowl. “He is the ultimate competitor, and he is very selfless. He plays extremely hard. He plays the game for himself, his family, his teammates, this institution, the state. Just plays so hard and makes such competitive plays in big moments.
