The annual Kentucky vs. Louisville rivalry doesn’t have the normal pomp and circumstance surrounding it this year. Louisville is quite literally one of the worst division one college basketball teams in the country and is sitting at 2-11 on the season, meanwhile Kentucky fans are up in arms over another slow start to the season by John Calipari.

So to spice things up a little bit, the ‘Cats are experimenting in the uniform department. Because nothing gives a tired fanbase a shot in the arm like some slick new threads. And with 2023 knocking at the door, Kentucky opted to throw it back to the great year of 1993, when Jamal Mashburn and Travis Ford rocked these jerseys:

Judging by the Twitter replies to this tweet, Kentucky fans are thrilled to see the school honor an old team with these retro uniforms. Hopefully, they’ll perform like the ’93 team did against the Cards, where UK hung 88 points and drummed Louisville by 20.
