Kentucky Wildcats trending for 4-star EDGE Brian Robinson ahead of commitment
The date is set for Austintown (Ohio) Westerville North four-star EDGE Brian Robinson.
On Oct. 4, the elite 2024 prospect will announce his college decision. Barring late developments, all signs are pointing towards a pledge to Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), UK has an 89.5% chance to land Robinson’s pledge, ahead of the likes of Michigan and Penn State. Five different On3 recruiting insiders have logged picks in favor of the Cats, two of which came over the weekend.
On3’s Chad Simmons provided some intel on Oct. 2, confirming the Wildcats as heavy favorites for the No. 131 overall prospect and No. 9 EDGE in the 2024 cycle — per the On3 Industry Ranking. A persistent pursuit of Robinson is expected to push Kentucky over the finish line.
“The 6-foot-5, 250-pound EDGE out of Austintown (Ohio) Westville North was back in Lexington over the weekend and he is very familiar with the SEC program. Since the official visits over the summer, Kentucky has been viewed as the frontrunner. Vince Marrow has played a big role here. He is from the same town as Robinson and their connection is strong. The consistency he and the staff had was a big factor in getting Kentucky to this position,” Simmons wrote.
“Early on, Michigan was viewed as the favorite. Over the last three to four months, that shifted to Kentucky, and unless a late surprise, Mark Stoops and the Wildcats should get big news this week.”

Robinson ready to commit to an “incredible program”
Robinson has made two game visits to Kentucky this season, coming for the season-opener against Ball State and over the weekend for the Cats’ major win over Florida. He made his official visit to the Bluegrass in June, kickstarting the swing in favor of the rising SEC program.
“Excited about the place that’s going to be my new home,” Robinson wrote on Sunday. “It’s an incredible program, a great team and a powerful legacy. This process has been a long, complicated road. And definitely not what I expected when I started this whole thing — but I think it’s made me better, it’s taught me a lot about the kind of people I want around me and it’s made me excited about building a different kind of future.”
Robinson would become Kentucky’s highest-ranked commitment and join the likes of Lexington (Ky.) Christian Academy four-star quarterback Cutter Boley and Cincinnati Withrow four-star cornerback Terhyon Nichols at the top of the list. UK’s 2024 recruiting class ranks No. 25 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pounder has an On3 NIL Valuation of $98K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
