Michigan was the longtime leader for Austintown (Ohio) Austintown Fitch four-star EDGE Brian Robinson on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. That changed Monday night after EJ Holland of The Wolverine placed an expert prediction for Robinson to commit to Kentucky.

The Wildcats are currently leading for the 6-foot-5, 228-pound pass rusher on the RPM at 56.4%. Adam Luckett and Nick Roush of KSR have also placed predictions in favor of Robinson ending up at Kentucky.

“When I walk into Kentucky, it’s like I’m home because there’s so many Youngstown (Ohio) coaches there, so many Youngstown people there,” Robinson told On3’s Chad Simmons on May 11. “When I walk into Kentucky, it’s not even football. It’s like, ‘Hey, how are you doing B-Rob?’ They’re saying they can help me with anything I need and to make myself at home. They ask me if there are any questions they can answer and anything I need that I don’t understand. They’re just super welcoming.”

Robinson is the No. 175 overall prospect and No. 12 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in Ohio.

On3 rates Robinson higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 174 overall prospect in the country.

The four-star spent last weekend on an official visit to Kentucky. Meanwhile, Michigan hosted him for an official on the weekend of June 3.

“I feel like I’m a lot closer than I was,” Robinson said last month about his decision timeline. “I feel like I’m closer, but right now, I really haven’t thought about it. I’ve just been focused on training and getting stronger, faster and being ready to not really thinking about playing, but being close as possible wherever I decide to go.”

Landing Robinson would mark a big recruiting win for Kentucky, whose 2024 recruiting class ranks No. 40 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 13 in the SEC. Head coach Mark Stoops and his staff have commitments from four players: Hodgenville (Ky.) Lexington Christian Academy four-star quarterback Cutter Boley, Independence (Ky.) Simon Kenton On3 four-star interior offensive lineman Aba Selm, Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake three-star EDGE Antwan Smith and Campbellsville (Ky.) Taylor County three-star offensive tackle Hayes Johnson.
