Koby Brea shares hilarious moment with child Tennessee fan following upset win
Kentucky guard Koby Brea had a young fan waiting to greet him after a road victory against Tennessee on Tuesday. Surprisingly, though, the kid wasn’t wearing Wildcats blue but instead Vols orange.
A crowd of UK faithful were there and cheered as the fan walked right up to Brea and simply stopped in front of him and stared up. He then extended his hand for a high-five, which the kid happily accepted before posing for a picture with him. You can view the adorable moment below.
Brea had quite the performance in the win as he led Kentucky with 18 points despite taking just five shots, all of which he made. He also chipped in three rebounds and three assists.
Kentucky led for most of the second half, even reaching a double digit advantage a couple of times. Tennessee managed to fight back and make it a three-point deficit with 3:44 to go.
Brea answered by drawing a foul out of the next timeout and nailing both free throws to make it a two-possession game yet again.
So far this season, the transfer from Dayton is averaging 10.8 points while shooting 46.4% from 3-point range. He went 3-for-3 on his triples Tuesday evening to help the Wildcats improve their record to 15-5 (4–3 SEC).
He also seems to be pretty good with kids, as the interaction he had with the young Tennessee fan was not the only such moment this season.

Koby Brea was handed a baby after drilling a career-high seven 3-pointers
Brea was also handed a baby after drilling seven 3-pointers in Kentucky’s top-10 win over Florida.
The second part of that statement is understandable — Brea is one of the best shooters in the world and the Wildcats are pretty darn good. But where in the hell did the first part come from?
After wrapping up postgame media and radio, coach Mark Pope sticks around to sign autographs and take pictures with fans. If he can’t, he gives free ice cream away to thousands of fans. One or the other. A few players join in after big games or moments — the entire team came out and signed autographs after the Louisville win — but it’s usually a quick turnaround so they can get to dinner or bed or whatever.
With this one being an 11 AM tip, though, Koby Brea stuck around about as long as Pope did to meet with Big Blue Nation and celebrate the big win while the fans celebrated his individual performance.
One fan got so excited after Brea went for 23 points on 8-11 shooting and 7-9 from three that he handed the fifth-year sharpshooter his child. And not just any child — a whole newborn.
Brea then took the baby the entire length of the floor down to Coach Pope on the other side of Rupp Arena, posed for a picture, then walked it all the way back.
