Lamont Butler and Jaxson Robinson will be available for Kentucky against Oklahoma on Wednesday night.

Kentucky remains without Kerr Kriisa, who broke his foot in December. The Sooners did not have anyone appear on the pregame injury report.

Robinson averages 13.3 points per game for the Wildcats as the team’s second-leading scorer while Butler ranks third on the team with 12.5. He also averages a team-high 4.6 assists per game as UK’s primary ball handler.

In their absence, Kentucky has relied on running its offense through Amari Williams. In turn, the true freshman tandem of Kentucky natives, Travis Perry and Trent Noah, as well as Collin Chandler, saw a bump in minutes during Butler and Robinson’s absence.

Their return to the court has been a steady progression. They recently returned to the practice court with minimal roles.

“They were actually pretty functional in the limited work that they did today. Certainly, they’re both on the uptick,” Pope said Monday. “We’re hopeful about both of them.”

Chandler also spoke to the media on Monday, saying that it was nice to have the duo back at practice for Kentucky. Otega Oweh, the Wildcats’ leading scorer, said they’ve looked good in the modified practices they’ve participated in.

He foreshadowed Wednesday night’s injury update, saying that he felt like it’s “only a matter of time before they get back out there.”

Robinson was originally injured during practice ahead of the Feb. 8 win against South Carolina. He was a game-time decision for the Wildcats, but ultimately played. That was the same matchup that saw the return of Lamont Butler, who had missed the previous three games at the time.

He played through the South Carolina game before re-injuring himself in the following game against Tennessee on Feb. 11. Butler has not played since.

Now back in the lineup, Kentucky returns to full strength — or what has been full strength for the majority of the season given they lost Kriisa during the first month of December — against the Sooners.

Tip-off between Kentucky and Oklahoma is set for 9 p.m. ET and will air live on the SEC Network. This will be the first-ever SEC contest between the two programs.

Kentucky returns to full strength just in time for Saturday’s matchup against No. 1 Auburn at home. It serves as a pivotal matchup for the Wildcats, who are still trying to improve their NCAA Tournament resume before March Madness.
