Michigan transfer Hunter Dickinson set to visit Kentucky on April 23-25
Hunter Dickinson is vetting many options as moves on from the Michigan Wolverines, now one of the top athletes in the NCAA Transfer Portal, and one of those options is the Kentucky Wildcats.
According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Dickinson will be visiting Lexington in the next couple of days. John Calipari’s program will host the former Big Ten star from April 23rd to the 25th.
“Michigan transfer Hunter Dickinson tells me he will visit Kentucky on April 23-25,” tweeted Tipton.
Dickinson would be a huge get for the Wildcats, as he has played in 94 games throughout his career, nearly producing a double-double per night. He averages 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game and has a long list of accomplishments dating back to his freshman year.
From a team perspective, he has been a member of two Michigan Sweet Sixteen teams — something Kentucky has not accomplished since 2019.

More on Hunter Dickinson considering the Kentucky Wildcats
Alas, Kentucky does have recent success with taking big men, turning Oscar Tshiebwe into a superstar. Coming in via West Virginia, Tshiebwe was last season’s National Player of the Year. While Hunter Dickinson is already an incredible player, further development could take place in Lexington.
Speaking of Tshiebwe, there has been no official announcement on his status for the 2023-2024 season. Calipari revealed Tshiebwe will be entering his name into the NBA Draftbut will leave the door open to returning. A fan favorite for Kentucky, the fan base would always love to have Tshiebwe back.
If there is a world where Tshiebwe and Dickinson can line up on the court at the same time, the Wildcats may have one of the most terrifying frontcourts in college basketball history.
