WATCH: Oscar Tshiebwe reveals completely disrespectful trash talk from Uros Plavsic
Kentucky finds itself with a season sweep on Tennessee, winning their home matchup in Lexington on Saturday afternoon. A crucial win for head coach John Calipari as the Wildcats should slide into safety when discussing the NCAA Tournament. Two wins against the Vols are a good sign for the Wildcats as well heading into March.
Multiple mini-battles take place throughout each game and one for Oscar Tshiebwe came against Uros Plavsic. There was seemingly some trash-talking between the two but a majority was coming from the Tennessee big man. Tshiebwe revealed after the game what Plavsic was exactly saying, admitting it can be “annoying” to go up against him.
“It is very annoying,” Tshiebwe said. “He cusses me out in the game all the time. He’s talking crazy… He told me, ‘I’m your daddy. You’re playing against your baby daddy.”
Plavsic chose the wrong day to trash talk as Tshiebwe will walk away as a big winner. He finished with 16 points, with 10 of those coming from the free-throw line. His counterpart only managed two points in 19 minutes. A physical battle throughout.

John Calipari discusses NCAA Tournament following Kentucky win
The Kentucky Wildcats have just picked up their second win in a row after knocking off the No. 10 ranked Tennessee Volunteers. And if you had the Wildcats bowing out and missing the NCAA tournament, John Calipari says shame on you. After picking up the home victory against their SEC East rival, Calipari responded to all the critics, writing off his Kentucky squad.
“Talking us out of the NCAA tournament does not work,” said Calipari. “You either play yourself in, or you play yourself out. So people are talking, ‘They are done.’ And I just said, ‘Look, don’t listen to it’. I told our fans, our fans in that building, we lead the nation in attendance. And our fans, in that game, helped us win that game.
“All I’m saying to them (is) don’t listen to all the garbage. And if you hear it, turn it off and just have good thoughts about this team. Because this team is trying to fight, and they’re great kids. I’ve said all along, we were gonna break through. We’ve had two losses that you would like to have back but none of that matters now. Everything is us going forward.”
