After his worst performance of the season vs. Notre Dame, Sahvir Wheeler came out with something to prove. Wheeler has a team-high 14 points on 7-10 from the floor. Oscar Tshiebwe started the game on a roll, racking up seven rebounds in seven minutes, but picked up his second foul at the 12:37 mark. The fact that Kentucky was able to get out to such a big lead without him bodes well for the second half.
Kentucky is shooting 41.7% (15-of-36) from the floor, 42.9% (3-of-7) from 3-point range while holding North Carolina to 37% (10-of-27) from the field.
