Sahvir Wheeler, Daimion Collins ruled out for Kentucky vs Tennessee
Sahvir Wheeler and Daimion Collins have been ruled out for Kentucky Saturday against Tennessee due to injury, the program announced. They’re both listed as day to day after going through warmups.
Wheeler is dealing with a shoulder injury and Collins is out with a foot injury. Both players played in this week’s loss to South Carolina. Wheeler played 40 minutes, totaling 10 points and three rebounds, while Collins had two points and four boards in 10 minutes of action.
In his senior season, Wheeler has seen his scoring production dip a bit, averaging 9.5 points per game compared to 10.1 points per contest a year ago. However, he leads the SEC with 6.3 assists per game — a number that could loom large against Tennessee. Collins, a sophomore, is averaging 1.6 points per game this year.
Kentucky is looking to bounce back from the loss to South Carolina — its second straight after another setback against Alabama. The Wildcats bring a 10-6 overall record and a 1-3 mark in SEC play into Saturday’s game against Tennessee. That game tipped off at 11 a.m. ET on ESPN.

Kentucky guard Cason Wallace expected to play vs Tennessee
Kentucky guard Cason Wallace is expected to play Saturday against Tennessee, sources told On3 and KSR’s Jack Pilgrim. He left this week’s game against South Carolina after just eight minutes.
Wallace was dealing with back spasms, head coach John Calipari said after the game, and that’s why he left the game so early. He ranks third on the Wildcats roster with 11.6 points per game and his 3.7 assists per game ranks second on the team.
Wallace has started 16 games for Kentucky as a freshman this year. He arrived on campus as a highly touted recruit, coming in as a five-star prospect and the nation’s No. 8 overall player from the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
