Utah State transfer forward Great Osobor to visit Kentucky next week
Utah State transfer forward Great Osobor has scheduled a visit to Kentucky for next week, KSR‘s Matt Jones reported Tuesday. The visit will take place from April 29-May 1 and will the the first of four visits for the 6-foot-9, 250-pound big man.
In addition to Kentucky, Osobor is also scheduled to visit Louisville (May 1-3), Texas Tech (May 4-6), and Washington (May 7-9).
The reigning Mountain West Conference Player of the Year, Osobor will have one season of eligibility remaining wherever he decides to transfer. He averaged 17.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 blocks per game this past season. He was also named an Honorable Mention All-American according to the Associated Press.
This past season was Osobor’s first with the Aggies after playing the first two seasons of his college career at Montana State. He came off the bench both of those years and earned the Big Sky Sixth Man of the Year in 2022-23 after averaging 9.8 points and 4.4 rebounds.
Osobor played high school basketball at Myerscough College Basketball Academy in Preston, England and was unranked in the 2021 cycle. Thanks to his play over the past few seasons, however, he now ranks as the No. 9 overall player and the top power forward according to On3’s Transfer Portal Player Rankings.

Kentucky no longer visiting Jayden Quaintance
Kentucky coach Mark Pope will no longer visit five-star center and former Wildcats commit Jayden Quaintance on Tuesday, KSR‘s Matt Jones reported. Pope was originally supposed to make an in-home visit in attempt sway him to honor his commitment.
Quaintance requested a release from his National Letter of Intent after the news that John Calipari was leaving Lexington to become the head coach at Arkansas. However, it was reported earlier Tuesday that Quaintance is no longer considering the Razorbacks.
Quaintance is the nation’s No. 8 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the top center in the 2024 On3 Top 150.
