Wake Forest transfer Andrew Carr commits to Kentucky
Wake Forest transfer Andrew Carr has committed to Kentucky, On3 has learned.
Carr entered the transfer portal on April 15, also declaring for the NBA Draft while retaining his eligibility. But after a visit in Lexington this past weekend, Carr will now join the Wildcats for the final season of his college career.
“Excited to announce I am transferring to the University of Kentucky for my graduate season,” Carr wrote on Twitter. “I know what it means to wear Kentucky across my chest and couldn’t be more ready to get to work!! Go Cats!”
Carr played high school basketball at West Chester East in West Chester (PA) where he was an unranked, unrated recruit in the 2020 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
But after entering the transfer portal this offseason, Carr was a four-star college prospect ranked as the No. 131 overall player and the No. 24 small forward available in the portal this offseason according to On3’s College Basketball Transfer Portal Top Player Rankings.
Carr spent the first two seasons of his college career at Delaware where he averaged 9.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and a block per game. Named to the CAA All-Tournament Team in 2022 and scoring 13 points in the NCAA Tournament against Villanova before transferring to Wake Forest.
