The 2022 NFL Scouting Combine is underway this weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana and prospects from across the country are putting on a show. Tonight, offensive linemen from across college football are taking their opportunity to shine in front of a nationally televised audience on NFL Network. Former Kentucky left tackle Dare Rosenthal just blazed his way to an impressive unofficial 40-yard dash time of 4.93.

Check out the impressive run for the 6-foot-7, 290-pounder.

Earlier in the evening on his first attempt, Rosenthal ran an unofficial 4.99 40-yard dash time, so the former Wildcat has been putting on a show. Later, the official results were released, and it turns out his official time was a 4.88, the fastest of any offensive lineman at the event.

Check out the graphic below.

Rosenthal started 12 of Kentucky’s 13 games at left tackle this season. His impressive play caught the eye of PFF, who named him to their All-SEC third team. He originally started his college football career with the LSU Tigers, where he won a national championship during the 2019-2020 season.

The former Kentucky and LSU product just proved he’s one of the most athletic offensive linemen in the 2022 draft class with his impressive times tonight.

Rosenthal has slimmed up recently

Rosenthal has slimmed up recently, as his Kentucky bio lists him at 6-foot-7, 327 pounds. His profile on NFL.com currently lists him at 290 pounds, which is a pretty drastic weight drop. Slimming up seems to have paid off for the former Kentucky star and he proved it tonight with his blazing 40-time.

Coming out of high school, Rosenthal was actually the top-rated defensive tackle prospect in the state of Louisiana.

The offensive linemen in the 2022 draft class are incredibly fast. This year, the class has had 12 offensive linemen run a sub 5.00 40-yard dash, the highest number since 2003 by a wide margin. That’s a pretty impressive stat and it shows you just how incredibly athletic the players are in today’s game.
