WATCH: Kentucky releases hype video ahead of SEC opener

Kentucky football released a hype video on Twitter ahead of its SEC opener against Missouri. The Wildcats are set to face the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Kroger Field in Lexington.
The Wildcats begin their SEC season with a lot more to be hopeful about compared to last year. This is thanks to the addition of a pair of transfers in the offseason.
In Kentucky’s season opener, the offense looked like a far cry from the one that averaged just 121.5 yards passing this past season. Penn State transfer Will Levis threw for 367 yards, four touchdowns and an interception as the Wildcats defeated Louisiana-Monroe, 45-10.
Both Josh Ali and Nebraska transfer Wan’Dale Robinson finished with more the 100 yards receiving. The Wildcats finished just 5-6 this past season but have the potential to earn a trip to a bowl game under ninth-year coach Mark Stoops, the brother of former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops. Kentucky is an even 50-50 overall during his tenure.
Missouri certainly presents a step up in competition, but the Kentucky crowd will be ready. The Tigers escaped a close game against Central Michigan in Week One, 34-24.

Connor Bazelak, who won co-SEC freshman of the Year in 2020, leads Missouri at quarterback. He was 21-of-32 passing for 257 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the season opener. Slowing him down has to be the main concern of the Wildcat defense.
The teams have played each other fairly evenly since Missouri joined the SEC, with Kentucky holding a 5-4 advantage. The Tigers came out on top last year, however.
The game is scheduled to be televised on the SEC Network. It is the first matchup between any two SEC teams this season. There are two games between conference foes in Week 3.
Thanks to the hype video, Kentucky fans should come plenty energized for the SEC opener.
