The Kentucky Wildcats are rolling early against LSU, as receiver Wan’Dale Robinson caught a touchdown in the second quarter. The score put Kentucky up 14-0 on the Tigers with plenty of time left until the half.

The 11-yard score was the second passing touchdown of the evening for Kentucky quarterback Will Levis. He found running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. on a 3-yard toss on the first quarter.

No. 16 Kentucky has been one of the most surprising teams in all of college football thus far and appears to show no signs of slowing down. The Wildcats knocked off Florida this past week to stay one of three unbeaten team in the SEC.

LSU is coming off of a loss to Mississippi State that has many questioning the job security of coach Ed Orgeron. A win on the road in Lexington is just as important, if not more so, for the Tigers’ season.

Should they fail to come back and beat Kentucky, it could be the beginning of a long losing streak. The schedule doesn’t get kinder, either. Starting against Auburn last week, LSU has six straight contests against teams currently ranked in the AP poll.

The challenges will continue to come for Kentucky as well. If they manage to hang on for the win, they will run into fellow undefeated No. 2 Georgia, which boast the best defense in the nation. Needless to say, touchdowns will be much harder to come by for Wan’Dale Robinson in that one.

Robinson is one of a handful of transfers making an impact for Kentucky in the young season. In addition to him, Levis is also in his first year with the Wildcats after moving from Penn State. It appears the additions have done enough to rejuvenate the program, which is on pace for one of its best years in recent memory.
