Will Levis on Wan’Dale Robinson: ‘I miss having him, he misses having me’
After breaking out together at Kentucky in 2021 after transferring from Big Ten schools, Will Levis and Wan’Dale Robinson created a special connection. Ahead of his first NFL season with the New York Giants, the wide receiver returned to Lexington to catch his old quarterback in action before returning to make his professional debut this week.
Wan’Dale Robinson started his career at Nebraska while Will Levis was at Penn State, but Kentucky brought both in on the way to posting a 10-win season including a Citrus Bowl win over Iowa. After catching up in Week 1, Levis broke down what the conversation sounded like between them.

“We talked a little bit before and after the game,” said Levis. “He said we looked good, and I know that he knew that we thought we could’ve played better, but he was very impressed with how we were able to play. And I was able to get the balls to the new guys.
“I miss having him, he misses having me, but he’s doing his thing. Got to have some fun with him after the game too which was cool.”
Robinson could find himself hoping for a reunion between the two by the 2023 NFL Draft as his team’s new coaching staff takes this year to evaluate the future of current quarterback Daniel Jones with an eye on the available prospects coming out of college and free agents who could become available.

Will Levis compares Tayvion Robinson to Wan’Dale Robinson
Will Levis’ top target in the Kentucky offense will most likely be a Robinson for a second straight year. Except, this time around, Tayvion Robinson, the Virginia Tech transfer.
When asked about the similarities in the two Robinsons, Kentucky quarterback Will Levis had plenty to say about traits the two receivers do and do not share.
“So, I mean they’re different players. I think Wan’Dale is probably a little faster than him. I don’t know if Tayvion will get mad at me for saying that, but he might he might agree with me there. But Tayvion has a really good feel and a little bigger. His catch radius is a lot bigger too. I mean ‘Dale was amazing. He could do some incredible things with his body. But he is limited by his size, you know, and he’s not gonna let anyone tell him that. But, like, I’m gonna try to give an accurate ball, but even if it is six inches off, Tayvion might be able to make the catch whereas Wan’Dale might not be able to. Just little things like that.”
