Westerville (Ohio) Westerville North three-star offensive lineman Jake Cook has committed to Louisville, he announced on Friday.

Cook chose the Cardinals over Kentucky, Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami (Ohio) and a handful of other programs.

“Louisville, KY ….. I’m Home!” he wrote on Twitter.

Cook isn’t currently ranked in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. However, one recruiting site currently gives him a three-star grade and tabs him as the No. 41 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class.

“I have a lot of twitch, so I’m able to get after guys, pull, and get open in space,” he told KSR last month of his playing style. “Obviously, playing nasty. That’s the one thing the coaches love. Playing nasty, finishing guys, playing through the whistle, blocking guys 10 to 15 yards down the field.”

Moving forward, Cook is looking to improve his pass protection. “I can always get better at pass pro and run blocking,” he said.

Last season, Cook’s high school team ran the triple-option, which was different for him. At the college level, Cook said he’s ready for anything.

“I’m good with the triple-option, inside-zone, outside-zone,” he said. “I’m great with all of that and I’m open to any offense. I just want to play some football.”

He is the third commitment in the Cardinals’ class, joining Oxford (Ala.) three-star quarterback Mason Mims and Goshen (Ky.) North Oldham offensive tackle Gradey Anthony.

Louisville finished the 2024 cycle with the No. 53 class nationally but will be looking to build off a 10-4 campaign on the field under first-year head coach Brian Brohm in 2025.
