2025 WR Jordan Allen commits to Louisville: ‘This is the place where I want to be’
Louisville first reached out to Dacula (Ga.) Buford three-star wide receiver Jordan Allen in June before contacting him again in January after watching his junior year film. The Cardinals were impressed by his performance and communication quickly picked up between the ACC program and the 5-foot-7, 170-pound wideout.
Allen visited Louisville on the weekend of Jan. 27 for a Junior Day and realized that it “is a place that I can definitely see myself playing” at. After returning to the Cardinals’ campus on April 7, he followed up on that feeling by committing to the Cardinals.
“On the whole ride back home, my parents and I were talking and we felt it,” Allen told On3. “This is the place where I want to be. This place can develop me as a man and as a player. They have a great coaching staff and a very rich program history.”
Allen’s last trip to Louisville played a big role in his decision
Allen, who chose Louisville over Georgia, Indiana and Tennessee, was recruited to play slot receiver by the Cardinals. He also hopes head coach Jeff Brohm and his staff give him an opportunity to work in the return game.
During his recent visit to Louisville, wide receivers coach Garrick McGee toured Allen and his parents around the Cardinals’ campus and stadium. The No. 71 player in Georgia then spent between an hour and an hour-and-a-half speaking with McGee.
These experiences played a key role in Allen and his family feeling confident about his decision to commit to Louisville. He will be taking an official visit to the Cardinals from May 31-June 2 and will also be on campus for the spring game on April 19.
“I wanted to go into that game being a commit,” said Allen, the No. 110 wide receiver in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. “It could be a special day.”

Louisville’s staff made Allen feel like a top priority
Allen called Louisville’s campus “beautiful” and believes it is a place that is “surrounded by a lot of great people.” He also liked how he was not only recruited by McGee, but also Brohm.
The three-star is excited to see where Brohm takes the Cardinals, the program he played quarterback for from 1989-93. In his first season coaching his alma mater, Brohm led Louisville to a 10-4 record.
“Coach Brohm, he’s a great coach,” Allen said. “He takes care of his players. He treats them like his kids, so that’s a great thing to know in the back of your head. He does the right things and he will lead the team to be the best that they can be.”
Allen is also looking forward to learning from McGee, who followed Brohm from Purdue.
“Coach McGee believes that I can thrive in their offensive system,” Allen said. “They get the ball to their playmakers a bunch. I believe I can thrive in the offense too. The whole staff shows lots of love. When I was up there for the Junior Day, they were very personable and there were great vibes. That’s the place where I want to spend the next couple of years.”
