After having that 'feeling', 4-star DB Aaron Williams commits to Louisville
Early in March, Aaron Williams took his first visit to Louisville. The four-star cornerback out of Corona (Calif.) Centennial with a long list of offers took many visits last year, but when he got to Louisville, it was different. That feeling that recruits search for, Williams felt it.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound defender took some time to let his emotions settle after the visit, but it has been over a month, and that feeling hasn’t changed.
The No. 115 prospect in the On3 Consensus is ready to make his decision known.
“I fell in love when I was on that visit early in March,” Williams told On3. “I went into that visit not knowing what to expect and Louisville felt like home right away.
“It is a special place. I felt the love, I loved the atmosphere, the people felt like family, and I got that feeling. When I felt the way I felt, I knew where I wanted to be.”
Louisville offered Williams in February, just a couple of weeks before he took the visit. As soon as the Cardinals offered, Bryan Brown and Pete Thomas made Williams feel like a priority. The communication is strong and the No. 12 cornerback in the country is excited about what he is going to be a part of.
“The program is strong, but the coaches are building something special at Louisville. It is a bright future for sure. This recruiting class is going to be one of the best Louisville has ever signed, the coaches are building something special, and we are going to make a run at a national championship.
“The way the coaches coach, how genuine the place is, and how everyone just clicks makes Louisville special. We are going to get the top talent in there now.”

Williams wants to help Louisville take that next step
Williams told the Louisville coaches about his decision two weeks ago. He took his time, he made sure of his feelings, and there is no looking back now.
“It is time to get more top players in this class,” Williams said. “Me and Pierce Clarkson are going to recruit. We could have 10 players from California in this recruiting class.
“Louisville is a great place, the coaches are genuine, the love is real, and we are about to build the best recruiting class in Louisville history.”
Louisville now has nine commitments this cycle. Williams said he committed to Louisville over Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and Penn State.
