Alabama transfer WR Ja'Corey Brooks set for official visit to Louisville

Alabama wide receiver transfer Ja’Corey Brooks is currently headed to Louisville for an official visit, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

Brooks entered the transfer portal following his junior season with the Crimson Tide, a season that was cut short due to a shoulder injury.

But he was a remarkably productive player as a sophomore in 2022, which should undoubtedly earn him some heavy interest in the portal. Brooks recorded 39 catches for 674 yards and eight touchdowns that season.

In total in three years at Alabama, the talented Miami native has recorded 57 catches for 896 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has also occasionally returned punts and kicks.

Prior to enrolling at Alabama, Ja’Corey Brooks was one of the most highly sought-after prospects in the country. He was a five-star recruit and the No. 29 overall player in the nation in the 2021 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

In addition, he was ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver in the class and the No. 5 overall player from the state of Florida, hailing from Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy.
