The Louisville Cardinals had a serious scare in the first quarter of their ACC matchup with the Clemson Tigers. Defensive back Benjamin Perry attempted to get up after trying to make a tackle on a play. Riley stood up after the play, and then after a few seconds went back down to the ground. It was tough to tell exactly what happened. But he dove to make a tackle. And he was down on the ground for several minutes before trainers and medical staff attended to him, putting a neck brace on the back of his neck.

Play was delayed in the game for several minutes and coaches from both teams came out onto the field to share concern for Perry.

He was eventually stood up with assistance, and helped off the field into the medical tent.

Here is the video of him being helped off after his neck was stabilized by medical staff.
