Four-Star WR Joseph Stone Jr. commits to Louisville
Four-star wide receiver Joseph Stone Jr. of Fairburn (GA) Langston Hughes announced his commitment to Louisville Saturday afternoon.
The 6-foot, 180 pounder was previously committed to LSU.
“I’m from Atlanta but Louisville has been my 2nd home my whole life. Mostly all my family lives in Louisville and coach Brohm is an offensive genius. I know we both have what it takes to get me to that next level. Coach McGee and I have a great relationship and have been building for more than a year now. I think the relationships I have at U of L have shown me this will be a 40 year decision and not a 4 year decision! I love the city and the people of Louisville and I can’t wait to put on for the Crib!”
The Peach State wide receiver joins coach Jeff Brohm and the Cardinals’ top 55 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star running back Isaac Brown, four-star running back Duke Watson, and others.

Scouting Summary
On3’s Scouting and Rankings Team writes about him as a college recruit:
“Versatile athlete who plays a number of positions for perennial Georgia power, Grayson High. Plays quarterback, running back and wide receiver at Grayson. Shows good agility and adequate play speed with the ball in his hands. Has worked out as a wide receiver on the camp circuit, but could also project as a defensive back at the next level. Shows a good feel for working in space as a ball carrier. Has grown over an inch since his sophomore year, now checking in around 5-foot-10.5, 180 pounds. Does not have many athletic testing numbers to speak of, and ran track as a sophomore with a personal best of 11.70 seconds in the 100 meters. Has some genuine positional ambiguity that should be hammered out moving forward.”
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $63K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
