Louisville outfielder Isaac Humphrey entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. He spent four years in the program.

Humphrey started 50 of 54 games played in this past spring. He finished with a .310 average, 13 doubles, two triples, and a career high 10 home runs.

Humphrey also had 39 RBI and scored 46 runs while going nine of 10 in stolen base attempts.

Humphrey lettered five years in baseball and four years in basketball at Owensboro (Ken.) High. He was the Owensboro Times 2019 Player of the Year and rated the No. 3 outfielder and No. 15 overall prospect in Kentucky by Perfect Game.

Isaac Humphrey enters portal at conclusion of season

Humphrey entered the portal following a disappointing end to the season for Louisville, an 8-7 walk off loss to Clemson in ACC pool play. Louisville (32-24) saw a six-run lead wilt away over the final five innings.

With that loss, the Cardinals did not make the NCAA Tournament in 2024. Louisville previously lost to Miami 8-5, prior to Clemson.

Overall, Louisville finished 32-24 overall and 16-14 in the ACC throughout the entire spring. 2025 could look quite different as the Cardinals look to make a deeper run.
