Miller Moss brings a lot to the table in terms of what Jeff Brohm and Louisville looked for in a quarterback in 2025.

Coming over from USC, Moss has been in big game spots but opted to go elsewhere for his final collegiate season. Brohm’s been good at developing quarterbacks in his time as a head coach and the two seem like a good pairing.

If the Cardinals are going to compete for the ACC in 2025, they’ll need Moss at his best.

“I think he can throw a good football, he’s played a lot of games, he has a ton of experience,” Brohm began. “(Miller’s) had ups and downs, kind of like Tyler (Shough), kind of like Jack (Plummer), but I think he’s played against good football teams, and he’s been battle tested, and I think he’s picked up what we’ve done to this point very well.

“I think he’s a leader in a different way than Tyler, but he’s a very good leader, and he wants to go out on this last year with a bang and to play really good football and to play at a high level. And we want to help him do that.”

Last season, Moss tried to capitalize on the hype he received following the Holiday Bowl at the end of the 2023 season.

Last fall, Moss passed for 2,555 yards, 18 touchdowns, nine interceptions and a 64.4% completion percentage.

“So he’s definitely bought in to put in the work in and really trying to gel and mess with our receiver to this point and he understands that this is a year that he wants to go out and show people what he can do,” Brohm said. “So we definitely feel excited about what we think he brings to the table for our team.”

As a member of the Class of 2021, Moss was a four-star recruit out of Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 15 overall prospect in the state, the No. 22 quarterback in the class and the No. 208 overall prospect in the class.

The Cardinals posted an 8-4 record in the regular season this year. Shough was the team’s starting quarterback.S

hough transferred in from Texas Tech last offseason. In his debut season with the Cardinals, Shough tallied 3,195 passing yards and 23 touchdowns while only throwing six interceptions.
