Jeff Brohm meets with legendary rapper
After leading Purdue to the Big Ten Championship, Jeff Brohm returned to Louisville as his alma mater’s head coach. Last week, he watched multiple Cardinals commits in a game in California. This week, he got dinner with rapper and high school football coach Luther Campbell, who is known as Uncle Luke.
Campbell was a member of 2 Live Crew, a Miami-based rap group. He also released multiple albums, with songs including “Raise the Roof.”
Recently, Campbell has been the Associate head football coach at Miami Edison High School. Edison, who finished the 2022 season 5-5, is the school of four-star athlete Nathaniel Joseph, a top-150 prospect committed to Miami.

Two Louisville staffers joined Brohm and Campbell at the dinner. They are running backs coach Chris Barclay and coach Hova, Louisville’s Recruiting Strategy Coordinator.
Right now, Brohm has the No. 21 class in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. Louisville’s group, which also ranks No. 4 in the ACC, added two commitments since Brohm’s arrival. Both Louisville (Ky.) St. Xavier three-star EDGE Micah Carter and Henderson (Ky.) Henderson County three-star defensive lineman Saadiq Clements flipped from the Boilermakers.
