Buford (Ga.) Five-Star Plus+ safety KJ Bolden will head to Louisville on Friday for the Cardinals spring game. He announced the news on Twitter.

Bolden is the No. 5 overall prospect and No. 1 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Georgia.

The 6-foot-0, 185-pounder holds several Power Five offers and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Georgia as the favorite to land a commitment from Bolden at 28.4%.

The trip to Louisville will be the first for Bolden who’s had enjoyed a busy spring.

Since visiting Arkansas on March 4, he’s taken visits to Florida State (April 3), Alabama (April 5), Auburn (April 8), Georgia (April 15) and is set to visit Oregon at the end of the month for the Ducks’ spring game.

KJ Bolden was back at Georgia over the weekend for the spring game and the in-state program still looks to be in a strong position,” wrote On3’s Chad Simmons. “He likes the location, his connection with the coaches and the chance to play for the Bulldogs. Numerous other schools are still in this race. None have made a bigger move in recent weeks than Auburn.

“The Tigers got Bolden on campus twice over the last month or so and it is an SEC to keep an eye on. Clemson and Ohio State are two more schools toward the top of Bolden’s list. He will take official visits to both programs this summer. He is from South Carolina and his uncle (Perry Eliano) coaches safties for the Buckeyes. A decision is expected by August.”

Bolden currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $419K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Louisville’s 2024 class starting strong under Jeff Brohm

Louisville may only have three commitments in its 2024 class but those three commitments are good enough to land them with the No. 14 class in the country and the No. 2 class in the ACC.

Four-star linebacker TJ Capers is the jewel in Brohm’s class so far having announced his commitment in early January. The Cardinals also recently picked up a commitment from three-star quarterback Deuce Adams.

Four-star running back Isaac Brown became the Cardinal’s first pledge last August.
