Louisville currently finds itself on a roll, winning five straight games. Saturday was the latest victory against an ACC opponent in Florida State. Not the most routine result but one the Cardinals are going to be happy with, especially if there can be a little social media trolling afterward.

Frank Anselem-Ibe decided to poke a little fun at Florida State head coach Leonard Hamilton. He was seen standing on the court multiple times, a place you might see a player stand. With Louisville down on that end of the court, Hamilton may as well have been serving as an extra defender.

“If I send you this just know I’m out here playing 6v5,” Anselem-Ibe said via X. A photo was attached too, showing where Leonard was standing.

Hamilton was never called out on the action. No bench warnings were called nor was a technical foul for being outside the coach’s box assessed. In the grand scheme of things, it’s something funny to laugh at with the game now over. But Florida State maybe would have enjoyed having a sixth defender out there.

Louisville shot 50% from the field on Saturday while finding an immense amount of success from the free-throw line. Of the 34 attempts from the charity stripe, 30 went in. Florida State shot half as many and despite having a pretty good percentage, it’s a massive difference.

Even without those numbers, Louisville is one of the best offenses in college basketball. They entered Saturday at No. 19 in KenPom Adjusted Offense and only Duke ranks better inside the ACC. Four of the five Louisville starters were in double figures, led by Chucky Hepburn with 29 points.

Anselem-Ibe never checked into the game as Louisville only put eight players onto the court. He certainly got the last laugh, though.

Florida State and Hamilton are set to be back on the court Monday at home against North Carolina. Maybe there will be a self-scout from Hamilton and he can stay behind the line. Being back in the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center may provide some familiarity.

As for Louisville, they will hit the road and play on Tuesday against Virginia Tech. The fight to win an ACC regular season championship is still alive, currently only a game behind Duke. Every contest down the stretch is going to be an important one.
