Louisville DB Tayon Holloway facing assault, strangulation charges

Louisville defensive back Tayon Holloway has been charged with first degree strangulation and fourth degree assault, it was reported Monday.
An arrest slip reveals that Louisville police officers responded to a 911 call around 9 p.m. on Sunday evening. Dispatchers said the person who called hung up and told officers they were no longer in trouble when they arrived, but the victim was crying.
Eventually, the victim told police that Holloway was in his room about to smoke marijuana when she grabbed it from him. She then claimed that Holloway threw her off the bed and began punching her. She also said that Holloway took a pillow and held it over her face.
After that, Holloway pushed her out of the room and she went to a different apartment for help. A mirror was also broken in the process.
Holloway has a bond set at $10,000 and has a no contact order. Louisville linebacker Jurriente Davis was listed as a witness in the police report.
