Louisville lands 3-star OL Jordan Church
Earlier this spring, Jordan Church cut his list down to five schools. Florida State, Louisville, Missouri, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee were the finalists for the 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive lineman before the Cardinals pulled ahead, then landed his commitment.
He was leaning strongly towards Louisville over a month ago, but wanted to take an official visit to Pittsburgh to make sure of things. After taking that trip last weekend, he knows he wants to be a Cardinal.
“Louisville is the place for me,” Church told On3. “I had it in my mind the whole time. Then after the official visit to Pittsburgh, I felt even better. I went over the pros and cons of each school, I thought about it a little more, and I still felt great about Louisville. I know that’s the school to me.”
Scott Satterfield and his program offered Church early. They were the third school to offer Church and that was extended last summer. Since then, the Cardinals have shown Church a lot of attention and that paid off.
“The Louisville coaches were very consistent with me. They showed love all the time and that meant a lot. I got to know the coaches, I learned about the school, and things took off from there.”
After he took his official visit earlier this month, he knew Louisville would be tough to beat.
“I built a bond with the coaches and the players when I was on my official visit. Everyone was down to earth, I related to the players, and everything went so well up there.
“I even talked to the Athletics Director about coach Satterfield, his future, and how he is going to be there for a long time. Everything on that visit felt great and I knew I had made the right decision.”

Church sees Louisville doing big things in the future
Nic Cardwell and Church have built a strong bond. The two have broken down film, started to work together on technique, and the new commit is excited about working with the Louisville offensive line coach in the future.
Church is also excited about this recruiting class. It is No. 9 in the On3 Team Rankings and this could be the best ever.
“This recruiting class will be the best in Louisville history,” Church said. “I’m excited to be a part of it and I can’t wait to play with this group.
“We are building something special. We are going in the direction to win ACC titles and a national championship. We are going to make Louisville a powerhouse.”
