Louisville kick-started its recruiting weekend with a four-star commitment from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco quarterback Pierce Clarkson. Now the Cardinals hope to continue the momentum with nearly 50 underclass recruits set to visit campus for a junior day and at least three senior targets making official visits.

Louisville’s final round of official visits

First things first, the Cardinals are expected to host former Kentucky commit and three-star athlete Jeremiah Caldwell of Belleville, Mich., on an official visit.

He’ll be joined on the visit by three-star Dallas Skyline cornerback Anthony Davis. Davis visited SMU last weekend and the Ponies hold a big lead heading into the visit weekend with the Cardinals.

Columbus (Ga.) Carver safety Antonio Watts is also slated to officially visit Louisville this weekend. The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder has offers from Louisville, Akron, East Carolina, Eastern Michigan, Kent State and others.

Around 50 juniors, sophomores expected at Louisville

Clarkson is the headliner making it to campus this weekend for Louisville. That’s especially true since the visit came after he announced his Card commitment on billboards all over the Louisville area. But he’s not the only high-profile underclassman that will be there.

Clarkson’s highly-touted teammates Jshawn Frausto-Ramos and Jahlil McClain are set to make it to town for a junior day event.

Frausto-Ramos is a four-star cornerback that ranks as the No. 18 player in California, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

McClain is also a four-star recruit, ranking as the No. 42 receiver and the No. 262 player in the country in the On3 Consensus.

Junior day to bring in talent from all over

Highly coveted Dallas Metroplex receiver Johntay Cook II says he’s visiting for the junior day. While in-state powers, like the Texas Longhorns, are considered the overwhelming favorite, it’ll be a chance for Cook to see what the Cardinals are all about.

Four-star safety Jayden Davis of Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill says he’s visiting Louisville this weekend. The Cardinals are right in the thick of things along with Georgia Tech, Tennessee and Auburn, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Another four-star set to make the trip to the junior day is Orange Park (Fla.) Fleming Island running back Samuel Singleton. Singleton ranks as the No. 7 running back in the country in the On3 Consensus. He’s already taken other unofficial visits to Florida State, Virginia Tech, Michigan and Boston College.

Another four-star target expected to visit is Javin Simpkins of Miami Norland. The 5-foot-8, 175-pound Simpkins was once committed to Georgia Tech but has backed off that pledge and is looking at a lot of national programs.

Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett four-star DL Kayden McDonald andSt. Louis Cardinal Ritter Prep On3 Consensus three-star safety Marvin Burks Jr. are other big national names on the list.

And there’s also a chance that four-star receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. will be there, but there are also reports he will be at USC for its junior day.

A quality list of local players is expected to be at Louisville also for the junior day, including three-star cornerback Jeremiah Collins of Louisville Male and three-star EDGE Oryend Fisher of Georgetown Great Crossing.
